There is a town in Central Java, Indonesia that is named Al-Quds (Bahasa Indonesia: Kudus). In the 14th century, a Waliyul 'Ilmi from Al-Quds Palestine came to this town and taught Islam to the Hindu people in Jawa, his name is Sayyid Ja'far Shadiq Azmatkhan Bin Sayyid Fadhal Ali Murtazha.
Some muslim youth of Al-Quds (Kudus, Indonesia) launched qasidah and shalawat album, they named their Islamic music group "the Al-Quds".
